Handcrafted Evening in the Park - Folk Center

Join us Friday, July 18 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. for a Handcrafted Evening in the Ozark Folk Center Craft Village in scenic Mountain View, Arkansas. Admission to the Craft Village is free for this evening event. There is plenty of parking in the lower lot and our free shuttle will carry you to the Village on the top of the hill.

Many of the shops will be open. The Village crafters will be creating items, demonstrating their wood carving; spinning and weaving; jewelry making; soap making; printing; copper flame painting; and more. Spend the evening talking with our resident working crafters about how they learned their skills and where they find their inspiration. Learn about their tools and their workshops. Buy unique handcrafted items such as pottery, candles, stained glass, and weavings directly from the folks who are making them. If you'd like to learn how to do a craft, visit with the artisans about the classes they offer, or talk with apprentices about our apprenticeships.

Make a weekend out of your visit with a stay in the comfortable Cabins at Dry Creek at the park. You can book online at OzarkFolkCenter.com or call 1-800-264-FOLK (3655) for your rooming needs.

The Ozark Folk Center State Park is located at 1032 Park Avenue in Mountain View, less than a mile from the Courthouse Square. The park may also be reached by taking Hwy 5/9/14 (Sylamore Ave) to Jimmy Driftwood Parkway, which leads directly to the park entrance.
