Our Story

Why Life in Mountain View Was Created

When I first moved to Mountain View, I was so excited — the mountains, the music, the small-town charm, the promise of a slower, sweeter way of living. But before I got here, I realized something surprising:

It was almost impossible to find information online.

I wanted to learn more about the town… and couldn’t.
I wanted to see photos… and couldn’t.
I wanted to watch videos… and there weren’t any.
I wanted to know what was going on… but nothing was posted anywhere.

And most of all?

I needed to hire a painter before moving here — and couldn’t find a single one online.
Not because they didn’t exist… but because so many of our talented small businesses are self-employed, word-of-mouth, and not easy to find unless you already live here.

I remember thinking:

“If I’m this excited to move here… why is there nowhere online that shows off this amazing town?”

That moment planted the seed for Life in Mountain View.

Creating What I Wished I Had

I built this site because I wanted to create the resource I needed when I was trying to learn about Mountain View.

A place where you could:

✔ Explore the feel of the town before you arrive
✔ Find local small businesses — even the ones without websites
✔ Discover events, music, and festivals
✔ Get excited about moving here
✔ See photos and videos that truly represent the town
✔ Learn what real life here is like

Most of all, I wanted something that made it easy for people to connect — with local services, with the culture, with the community, and with the heart of this place.

Built for Locals, Too

Life in Mountain View isn’t just for people thinking about moving here — it’s also for the amazing people who already call this place home.

Locals deserve one place where they can:

✔ See what events are happening this week
✔ Find out who to call when they need help — painters, plumbers, roofers, handymen, hairstylists, and more
✔ Discover local businesses they may not know about
✔ Keep up with festivals, live music, and community gatherings
✔ Learn about new resources, opportunities, and activities
✔ Feel connected to the heartbeat of our town

Mountain View is full of talented business owners and incredible people — but not all of them have websites, social media pages, or an easy way to get discovered.

This site helps bridge that gap by showcasing everything that makes our community strong, all in one easy-to-use place.

Sharing the Spirit of Mountain View

Anyone who lives here knows: Mountain View isn’t just a town — it’s a feeling.

It’s music drifting across the Square on a Saturday night.
It’s neighbors waving as you drive by.
It’s small businesses owned by people who truly care.
It’s festivals, family, and a sense of belonging the moment you arrive.

I wanted to capture that feeling — through photos, videos, stories, guides, and real, helpful information — so people could stay connected and informed, whether they’re brand-new or lifelong locals.

Helping the Next Person Find Their Way Here

As a REALTOR® and someone deeply involved in the community, I hear the same thing from newcomers and locals:

“There just wasn’t anywhere to find information about what’s going on.”

Life in Mountain View is here to change that — for everyone.

Whether you're relocating, visiting, or already living here, this site is your go-to hub for:

  • Local businesses

  • Events & festivals

  • Community resources

  • Neighborhood & area guides

  • Moving help

  • Videos & stories

  • Real estate information

It’s a place built for connection, excitement, and support — created by someone who remembers what it felt like to search for help and not know where to start.

Welcome — I’m So Glad You’re Here

Life in Mountain View is more than a website.
It’s a welcome mat.
It’s a community hub.
It’s a celebration of small-town life, local people, and the beauty of the Ozarks.

If you're thinking about moving here, planning a visit, or building your life in this mountain town, I hope this site gives you the excitement, information, and inspiration I once wished I had.

And if you ever need anything — whether it’s a painter, a local recommendation, or help finding your next home — I’m always here to help.
